Challenge #67 - Love/Anything Goes

Thank you for stopping by again this week to join us.  We have been so blessed by your beuatiful art each week, and we hope that each of you knows how truly grateful we are every time you stop by to participate in our challenges.  We are so incredibly grateful to have so many talented crafters sharing their creations with us.  The last challenge of each month (February - May), we will have 10-12 prizes to give away.  And the last challenge in the month of June, we will have an awesome Grand Prize of an acrylic stamp set, an acrylic block, and some journaling cards.  These extra prizes have been donated by a special sponsor, Scripture by Design of Australia.  Watch for these special prizes during the last challenge each month (February - June).

This week's scripture/word art file is from the First Book of John Chapter 4 and verse 7, and it speaks of God's love.  If you read the rest of this passage in Chapter 4, you will see right away that this a very powerful passage.  Written by John, this passage tells us that "God is love" (v. 8/16), and that love is God's most supreme quality.  God can be truly known only by those individuals who "live in love" (v.16).  However, we could not even begin to know how to love, and not be able to love Him if He had not first loved us (v.19).  Also, when we learn to love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected (or matured) in us (v.12/17).   God's love for us was demonstrated when He gave His life as a sarifice and paid the price as an atonement for our sins, so that we can have eternal life by placing our faith in what He did for us on the cross.   That's true love; that our perfect and sinless Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, God in human flesh, would give His life to pay the price for sinners like you and me.   What a blessing to love one another, to live in love, to know God and to be born of God into eternal life.  We are so blessed to have, and to know, and to live in this kind of love from such a wonderful Savior.

You are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in the challenge. We simply hope to have you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-freindly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. You can also link more than one project each week (up to 5). The more, the merrier. We just hope that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".

Here is this week's free scripture/word art. We hope you enjoy it!
