Challenge #203 - Anything Goes

Welcome to Word Art Wednesday!  For those of you who are familiar with our challenge blog, we warmly welcome you back; and for those of you who are new to our challenge blog, WELCOME!  Our main goal is to share the love of Jesus Christ with you, and to let you know that God loves you.  In fact, He loves you SO MUCH that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins so that you can get to Heaven when you die.  If we can encourage you in any way, answer any Biblical questions for you, or be an encouragement to you in any way, PLEASE let us know.  It's our desire to encourage you to walk closely with the Lord, and to trust Him with all the details of your life.  And secondarily, our goal is to provide a FUN place where you can share your cards and projects for the chance to win some of the AMAZING prizes from our generous sponsors.  We're SO glad you're here, and we thank you for playing along in our challenges with us.  If we can ever be a blessing and encouragement to you in ANY way, please don't ever hesitate to let us know how we can be a blessing to you.  We want you to know the deep joy of living for the Lord, Jesus Christ, and growing closer to Him.  It's the most blessed life imaginable, and we want to support and encourage you on your journey.

What a beautiful scripture we have here in our word art for this week.  Taken from Isaiah 12:2, God's Word says to us, "Behold, God is my salvation" which reminds us that God (Jesus Christ) is the author and source of our eternal salvation and destiny, and in Him alone lies our hope of eternal life, and our escape from the penalty of Hell (being separated from God forever).  It reminds us that this gift comes ONLY from God, and was NOT brought about by human hands; and that only He can defend us from our enemies in the difficult times to come.  The next part tells us "I will trust and not be afraid", and this reminds us that because God is the author of our salvation; and because He alone is able to defend us and to perfect that which He has begun, we can confide in Him, and not be afraid of the power of machination of ANY enemy.  In His hands we are safe.  God is the foundation of our confidence; and by trusting Him, His people will never be moved.  The verse then tells us "For the Lord, Jehovah, is my strength and my song".  This means that HE is our source or strength.  We are acknowledging that we can do nothing without Him.   When we attempt to accomplish things without Him, we will surely fail. We NEED Him in our lives to guide us.  This is such a huge blessing and comfort; knowing we don't have to figure out life's mysteries and trials on our own.   And the fact that He is "our song" implies that He is the proper object of our praise.  We do this to celebrate who He is, and what He has done for us.  I think we can ALL relate to how God blesses us and puts a song in our hearts (often without any words or even a tune), but nonetheless, living for Him puts us in a spirit of joyful praise that glorifies Him for all that He has done in our lives, and for all He continues to do for us (both now and in the future).  It's really a beautiful scripture that reminds us WHO deserves our praise (God alone), WHY we praise Him, and how joyful we are when we fill our hearts fully with His goodness, power and love.  He is a blessings to us continually; filling us with joyful song, and we are SO blessed!

As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
